FAQs

  • Our daily rate is an all-inclusive rate, there are no extra charges added for dispensing medications, our beautiful daily walks and daily play time in our play yards.  There is no extra charges for bringing your own food. 
  • Whilst we supply beds and bedding, we are happy for you to bring along a fluffy bed or blanket, appropriate toys, or any extras that make our guest feel at home. 
  • Medications as prescribed and labelled. 
  • Collar, Leads, Harnesses or Halti, what you would normally use to go for walks. 
  • PJ’s, Storm Jackets 
  • If suppling your own food, we ask that it is labelled in a container or individually packaged.  Raw or cooked meats portioned so that we can keep it frozen. 
  • All guests must be fully vaccinated to the annual C5 Level and at least 2 weeks prior to attending.
  • On check in we will ask what current tick and worm treatment our guest is on, the last date it was given and the brand 
  • We do not accept tick and flea collars  
  • We have an extensive food range that we stock for our guests, if we do not stock the products that you feed, we are happy for you to bring in your pet’s food.  This helps with sensitive tummies and fussy eaters. 
  • Monday to Saturday, we are open from 8 am to 10 am then 3 pm to 5 pm for pick up and drop offs.
  • Sundays we are only open from 3 to 5 pm for pick up and drop offs.
  • We discourage drop offs and pickups outside of these times, however, understand that sometimes our times do not work.  If this is the case, we can arrange an out of hours’ time for you.  There is a fee of $50.00.  This time needs to be pre-arranged to ensure we can cover this with a staff member.
  • We welcome you to come and bring your fur baby with you so that they can meet us and you get to see where they will be staying and talk to us about what is needed for the stay.  We do have set times See Inspections) for this so we can ensure that we have one of our supervisors or owners available to spend the time with you showing you around and answering your questions. 
  • We welcome guests from 5 months as long as they are fully vaccinated. 
  • Our guests will go for a pleasant walk each day in which the walk is catered to suit each guest needs.  If they are keen, they can splash in the dam, some guests love the water play. 
  • Our guests will also have play time in our play yards each day where they get to do zoomies, sniff around, play ball with our staff or just sit and get cuddles and pats, there is no additional cost for walks and play time.
  • Also, our guests have access to their own courtyard all day.
  • We are happy to administer medication, however it needs to be clearly labelled by the vet and in the original medication box.
  • We need details on how and when you administer the medication. (See our medication section) 
  • There is no extra cost for Love and Cuddles, here at Yandina Hound Hotel, our staff give our guests lots of cuddles and attention, we feel it is the best part or our work.
  • We will contact you immediately, we will take our guest to the most appropriate vet as soon as possible, see our veterinarian notes. 
  • Each morning, we upload photos of our guests from their play and or walk time.  You can find these on our Facebook and Instagram sites. 
  • On our website you can also see a live stream of photos and short videos of our guests having fun time whilst they stay with us.
  • If you have concerns or it is the first time your pet is staying at a boarding facility, give us a call and we will work with you to see what the best option is to help with settling in.  It might just be a visit to our facility to be introduced to staff or maybe an overnight stay.
  • Whilst we try to accommodate all breeds, we need to be made aware of social and or behavioural issues, so that we can ensure that we can meet the needs of our guests.  You need to address your concerns with us prior to the stay.
  • Whilst we are happy to take entire male and female dogs, we ask that females are not in or coming into season at the time of their stay. 
  • We do not ask for deposits outside of peak seasons, just that you follow our cancellation policy (see cancellation policy).  However due to high demand our peak seasons are All School Holidays and Public Holidays, we will require 50% deposit 60 days prior to guest check in date to confirm the booking.  This deposit will be non-refundable 24 hours after payment is received.
  • During the week there is no minimum stay.  Weekends there is a minimum booking of 4 days, Easter all days must be booked (5 days) and Christmas period is a minimum booking of 14 days.
  • We all understand that things sometimes don’t go to plan, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible. Out of peak season if more than 14 days’ notice can be provided and in writing or requested through our portal it will only incur a $50.00 administration fee.  Cancelation within the 14 days prior to checking in date we will ask that you pay 50% of the invoiced booking fee. 
  • If you need to change your dates or shorten your stay we ask that you do this as early as possible, if it is within the 14 day notice period there is a 50% charge for days not taken. 
  • In peak seasons we ask that 60 days prior to your check in date you pay 50% of your booking as a deposit which will secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable 24 hours after you have paid.
  • We are happy for you to come and collect your fur baby early or shorten their stay as circumstances may change.  There is no refund or credit for days not used.
